Bundles of Joy!!!

This is gonna be long!
July 21st 2013 we stopped at uncle Roger house to see him before leaving for our new adventure.  We walked through his front door he greeted us "how the hell are ya kiddo?"
We visited for quite some time.  We left with a great big bear hug and "well kids its going to be all right, we will see each other again I sure love you!"

His voice still rings in my ears

July 22nd of 2013 we made the journey to our new home! Beautiful North Dakota! We Love Williston & all the majesties it offers to us! Its gorgeous land and all the people!
When we moved here the town was buzzing with Semi's and traffic; everybody was busy! The stores were very busy!! Walmart couldn't keep the staff to function!

Well were thrilled to be here. Only been here 3 days and Jayson was recruited by the young mens to go on a scout trip! All the way to Minnesota! Camp Wilderness!

He met a good Friend named Ryan Fletcher while at scout camp.
While Jayson was at scout camp we received a phone call.... Uncle Roger passed away..... Oh the feelings rushed back, I knew he was happy, he met his sweetheart at the gates of Heaven
I could feel the excitement I knew was going on in Heaven!

We took the weekend to go down there a quick trip it was!

In August we were so excited to have found an incredible Preschool for Aiden QUANTUM LEARNING Center he had Mrs.Dorothy Kuester for his teacher! She was fabulous!!!  We absolutely loved her!
While day to day life still went on Karena was called to Primary where she taught 9 year olds. She then was Activity Days leader, then was called as 1st Counselor in Primary Presidency.  Our first Stake confrence the stake met in a HUGE AUDITORIUM that was cool to see so many people even travel to Minot.

In October 2013 we were so excited to tell our parents we would be having another bundle of Joy!! We were so thrilled it shortly came with despair Karena was experiencing yet another miscarry
We turned it over to the Lord!  We know his hand is in all things!

Gwen (Keiths mom) called to ask if we wanted Yorkies still.... Well yes we did however Karena wasnt so sure about 3 at one time....
A friend took one of the females
We ended up with a female and a male named Izzy & Brewster
They are best friends!!!
They had a litter of puppies, 5 pups,( 2 died)
Then she had 2 boys the next liter
Then this liter is what I am getting at
She had 5 we lost 1 through the night
We started supplementing the other Tiny one
This is what we have named her
Meet Tiny:

She is the "runt" but she is a fighter! The vet said "thats the smallest 1 week old puppy we have seen!"

reflecting

I have been blessed with amazing women throughout my whole life.
First my mom who is an amazing strong hard worker and more than likely
learned that from my Grandma who was a hard worker too. I remember waking
up really early in the morning,
with my Grandma Harman when she lived on the farm before the
other cousins were awake so that I could help pick strawberries and peas from
the garden. I was blessed with Wilma Wood who taught me how to sew by hand.
My Grandma Harman actually has strawberries I sewed hanging on her wall.
Then my many many leaders. I think of them every day since I work with youth who haven't been as fortunate as I have to have the rock of Woman faith in their lives.
I married the man of my dreams and his mom has been the rock for his dad. Such a strong and amazing woman and mom who raised an incredible man. My husband aunt Lynn was an amazing person and taught me so much through the love of a mother. She welcomed me right into her family and loved me as one of her own children. I miss her so much. I guess that is where this stems from....it doesn't help that I just watched a super depressing movie.
I want to scream from the roof tops "AUNT LYNN I MISS YOU" I have a testimony and I know it's true. I know I will see her again if I live righteously. I just feel so lost in Manti without her here. She was my "Manti mom" I guess everybody who looses a loved one has an empty place for that someone. I just haven't lost somebody who was so close to me yet. I don't look forward to those days either when those loved ones start on their staircase to heaven.
I see my uncle Roger and how strong he seems to be....he misses her too though.
bottom line: Heavenly Father loves us all!

The DEER that HIT the Van is DEAD!

The deer really did hit me! It was laying down on the side of
the road and came after me like a dog who's territory
had been violated. It was an early June morning about 6:30a
when I was on my way to work, I slowed down to about 15 MPH
and the deer came after me after I was already past it.
It is all new again thanks to amazing Car insurance
but, thought I needed to post it on here,
I doubt I will get around to scrapbooking it.

The time of my life.....

we enjoyed hiking, we went to the lake, their favorite treat this week
was a chocolate dipped cone in a cup from Fred's, and we went to
Snow College and went swimming. Jayson and Aiden enjoyed seeing the
kids and we had so much fun. We can't wait until they come back again.
Jayson is rock climbing...did pretty well and got up and down all by himself!
YIPPPPEEEE!
Caden, Meg, Jay, Randi on the paddleboat at the lake
they all discovered frogs and began catching them
Randi is so fun to have over. She's grown up a lot and
looks just like her mama! She was a big help all week!
Jay bug is still my cuddle bug she is such a doll!
She is so loved!
Caden is 6ft, and still growing, eating "see"food
see it eat it! AHHAHAHAHA!
He had fun with all our activities and went and helped with
some demolition with Kristine, he enjoyed himself
Aiden found new adventures and people to love. He adjusted to the huge crowd well
never took so many naps in a week as he did this week. It was great! Just shows if
he actually gets warn out he'll take a nap!
They were great babysitters!!! My house was clean, and kids were fed!
They are still just as fun as 3 years ago....
just have fun on a different maturity level because they aren't so little.
I love them so much! They will always have a place in my heart
and my home! Hope you guys know you are always welcome here!
Laughter is music to my ears!
for those of you who don't know I have babysat Megan since she
was about 2, and Caden and Jaylee. They are like little sibblings to me.
Little did I know that one babysitting job would lead to a lifetime of
amazing memories and great laughs! Now, they are aunts/uncles to my boys.
they all get along pretty well and Aiden absolutely loves them to pieces!!

LIVING PLANET AQUARIUM

The boys went swimming, then had a sleepover with chocolate
dipped cones and a movie, then we went to the Living Planet Aquarium
in Sandy. It was fun. It is similar to an Indoor mini-zoo
we had lots of fun, learning and seeing new things.

ROUGH WEEK

Well I am sorry to post such journaling posts. If you aren't in for a sob story don't read the following post. I don't want to lose my memories of one of my favorite aunts. Which she isn't "technically" my aunt. She is my husbands, this has been a hard loss to take for our family.
GOD BLESS ALL OF HER FAMILY AND LOVED ONES!!

PURE JOURNALING: Missing Aunt Lynn

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call,

I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day.
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void, then fill
it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.
God wanted me now; He set me free!

Dear Aunt Lynn, July 2, 2011

As I was driving home from work today I think you whispered in my ear

“I need you to be strong for my family. Live by example so they can be with me. Will you say the opening prayer at my funeral?”

I thought to myself, there is so much family to do that, I probably won’t be a part of the actual services but, a part of helping Roger cope with losing his dear wife.

I sat down at home and began thinking about writing this letter and received a phone call from Roger he said: “You said I could ask anything. Well would you say the opening prayer at the funeral?” I began to cry and couldn’t help but think to myself that I did hear a whisper from you telling me I needed to be strong for your family. I feel you in my heart and know you are near.

If you were standing next to me this is what I would say:

“You took me under your wing as a newlywed and lonely housewife while Keith was at work. You told me “only strangers knock on my door” I quickly learned you didn’t refer to me as a stranger. Roger was away on the truck and you always told me you enjoyed the company. You shared your yogurt and Sunflower toast with me and called it “dinner” and told me not to tell anybody that’s all you eat for dinner. I hope I thanked you for that. We’d laugh and talk about our families and tell jokes. We’d watch “Jon & Kate”, “Little People Big World”, and the shows that showed the people buying and selling their homes and interior design shows.

One day sometime before Christmas in 2007 (I think) I raced over to your house to tell you what I had seen on TV. It was a commercial about the Cricut, that would relieve the pain in your hands when you scrapbooked. You looked at it and we showed Roger and then he surprised you at Christmas time with it. That was a fun Christmas, you invited Keith and I over for your family Christmas dinner. You always had a Christmas dinner. You loved Jayson as your own grandkids and were sure you showed him that love. You and Roger supported us by coming to birthday parties and were excited to see our new home every time we moved. You were always excited to see how I would decorate it.

You told everybody in your family that you loved me so much and gave me the most adoring compliments that they loved me because you loved me. No questions asked. Lynn I am going to miss you. You are an incredible aunt, a wonderful friend, and another mom to me. You gave me advice on everything in life and helped me out so much.

In February of 2008 I lost a pregnancy, I was devastated; I stayed in bed for a week. We sat in your living room all alone and you shared your love with me and your story of Robert and Burns. You missed Burns so much. You told me how you looked forward to that day of rocking him in your arms. You helped me realize that there is hope and life isn’t over, and to go on so that I could fulfill my journey here on earth. Those tender merciful words have never left me. I went on. When I found out I was pregnant with Aiden the first person I told was Keith, the second was my mom, the third was Aunt Lynn, you were so excited and started talking about all the things I had to look forward to. I have never forgotten the excitement you shared with me as I reflected on the nervousness I had inside about losing another pregnancy. You got me all excited about a baby shower and you were worried who was going to throw it and where it was going to be. You told me you were going to invite Sally and her girls even though I didn’t really know them. You made sure that I got a blanket with elephants on it. You loved elephants. We ended up having it at your house and you just let Gwen and Kristine come in and do their thing. You laughed and made jokes about all the games we played and were happy to participate.

We scrapbooked and scrapbooked, and when we needed a break from scrapbooking we played “Zumma” I think that is what it was called, and then you introduced me to “Chuggle” I miss you talking about these games. Well you helped convince Zach & Jaclyn that I should babysit Kaden & Landen. So, I started watching the boys and when Kaden was in preschool at Wendy’s we’d come visit you. If you weren’t sitting at the kitchen table you were in your scrapbook room.

You’d show your new page, or what you learned to new that you could do with the cartridges and then teach me how to do it too. You made a train for Roger…..and he LOVED IT!!

You so proudly talk about your kids and your grandkids. You’d always fill me in on the missing link in a story and how things came about. You always were so positive and always had a hug. I wasn’t allowed to leave until; I had a kiss on the cheek. Your kids started treating me like one of your kids. I grew to love Roger and got to know him really well. I was so excited to be back in Manti when we moved back just in May, I was hoping to spend many more days with you.

My heart is broken, but, more than ever Roger’s heart is broken. He knows you are out of pain however; he misses you and loves you so much. I promise I will be calling, and dropping in to see what he’s up to. Hopefully, I can ask him to help me with some projects in a few weeks and help keep him busy.

Lynn, you are amazing! I regret not coming over when you told me you were down for a day. I told you that day that I love you and I hope you get well soon. You said “oh it just takes a few days” I just got too caught up in work and have been busy I am sorry I took for granted that there will be tomorrow. I love you so much and I will miss you. I kissed you on your cheek as you lay in a hospital bed and said “I love you”. I hugged Roger for you since you couldn’t physically hold him. I know spiritually you hold him every night. I have a book full of memories, I could write about all day. Suppose I won’t do that though.

Love, Karena

I didn't even mention, you convinced me to never miss a family reunion, they are so fun.

Tracy: These are for you :)

This would be Aiden's favorite hat!

Now you have to understand something, from the moment Aiden was born until, he got this hat he has hated hats. He would roll his head in his little crib to take off the one the nurse's kept putting on him at the hospital from day one. He loves this one though.

This was a few weeks ago. We had to go to a state park for an assignment for Keith's class

so we went to Snow Canyon State park.

Keith told Aiden to go find a hat and this is the one he chose. He wore it the WHOLE day, he loves it!

Jayson: Aiden misses you!!!

Yesterday Aiden walked around the house saying "bubbu, bubbu"

Calling out for Jayson. My heart broke into a million peices. Children don't understand at

this age how their family functions. So we called Jayson. Aiden talked to "bubbu"

the whole time. His facial expressions were priceless. He has tons of pictures of Jayson

hanging in his room and he talks to them all of the time. He misses Jayson so much

and while Keith has been in school and working a full time job gas prices haven't

worked in our favor for these two brothers to be together more often.

We are excited for the weeks to come where these two can bond

endlessly for a week!!! Aiden is so excited to see him!

We love him so much and miss him TONS!!!

~~2 PEAS IN A POD~~

Each of the boys have a quilt that I made for them
This was my first 2 quilts I have ever done myself
they each have the boys' names on them and the year they
were made.
I have more pictures of these two together and happy then anything else
they have so much fun together!
Aiden loves to brush his teeth and it's even more fun with
big brother there teaching him how it's done big boy style.

Aiden is just paying so close attention to what is going on with Jayson
and how he's doing it....then he tries

Mechanics is a hobby for SOME........

Replacing the gears in the bronco started about 10 minutes
after arriving at our destination on Friday night. It was a very time consuming
mechanical job.....and the boys were there every minute!
After some "uh, Oh's" all was put back together by Sunday
afternoon....

Must say thank you to Allen and Sam who helped out too!

I think that Jayson felt so good about helping put it all together
and he really did hold some bolts in place to slide that thing back on
and he was such a great big help to his dad!!!!
Jayson loves to be right there with his dad doing the boy thing and getting dirty!
